Event Details
Join WEN for a leisurely walk down the hills and trails of our gorgeous Presidio with our guides from Tree Frog Treks. We will scan the sky for Red-tailed Hawks, Anna's humming birds and Great Blue Herons as we travel from the forested hills to the edge of the Bay. Along the way we will gently flip a log or two in search of sleeping salamanders and an astounding variety of insect life including centipedes, isopods and darkling beetles. We will identify native plant life and even sample some edible varieties like Miner's lettuce.
Meet at Main Post parade ground at 5pm. Bring warm clothes, a snack and water, and appropriate footwear to get dirty on our crepuscular hike!
